Those words definitely crossed my mind about 10 minutes into the Sinclair Institute Maximizing G-spot Pleasures DVD.
I was given the task of watching a few of the DVDs in my first few weeks in order to get an idea of the company’s staple: sexual education DVDs.
With the blurred front cover and a clinical psychologist on the back cover, I was expecting stale diagrams and voiceovers combined with cheesy softcore visuals.
What I got exceeded my expectations, for sure. Here’s my take on the Sinclair Institute Maximizing G-spot Pleasures DVD.
Maximizing G-spot Pleasures DVD Review:
Overall, the 45- minute film is a buffet of sex positions, adult toy use and orgasms sprinkled expertly with pertinent information, historical overviews and “how to” tips.
There’s plenty of information to incorporate into your lovemaking and enough skin to keep you visually engaged.
It’s not gratuitous, although, the squirting scenes where a little much for my personal taste.
Things to note about this film:
The couples in the film are real. They aren’t pornstars. They actually look like they could be your neighbors with varying types of attractiveness.
This is a good thing. It wasn’t the same glossy-lipped, smokey-eyed vixen with skinny arms and huge boobs.
Couples would enjoy watching this together, because you can see yourself as the couples in the film and it’s this fact that opens you up to discussing the positions and products from the film.
And maybe even trying a few while the film is running.
The sex in the film is definitely real.
It’s erotic, it’s sexy and it’s arousing, but it’s all these things because of the way Sinclair puts it together. It’s not in-your-face trying to take you from zero to money-shot in 60 seconds.
It can be sensory overload at times, but that’s because it is instructional — showing you different options for g-spot stimulation and with different couples.
Couples who need visual stimulation or visual instruction would enjoy this film, but if you want a linear progression of desire, arousal and orgasm this isn’t for you.
The historical and sexual health information and feedback delivered in the film is worth it.
I like how the sex scenes are combined with information, history and tips from the voiceover and Dr. Lori Buckley. I liked hearing from the couples the most. I found myself nodding in agreement with certain statements and smiling as the couples talked with each other and the camera.
There could definitely be more information delivered on the g-spot and g-spot stimulation, but I think it would make the film more clinical and stuffy and not as romantic and sensual as it was.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this for couples of all ages who are looking for ways to enhance a woman’s pleasure in the bedroom.
